When he was ready to move and retire, author and businessman, Jerry Tate had only one stipulation: the location and lifestyle had to be laid back. With this in mind, Tate chartered a course for Honduras. His new book, "Inside Honduras" (published by AuthorHouse), doubles as an account of his experience in Honduras and as a how-to guide for others thinking of retiring to a Central American country.

"Many people in America and Europe are moving to other countries to retire where it is a lot cheaper to live in every kind of way," explains Tate. "I wanted to give them all the information that I experienced in that country."

After selling his trucking company, Tate decides to move to Honduras and start his retirement fresh. Though he spoke little Spanish and did not know much about the country, Tate is undeterred and relies on his strong faith in God to keep him safe. He meets Gillermo, who interprets for him, and Senior Don Chillo, whom he relies on for support and friendship. As he settles in the mountains, Tate quickly realizes that he may be in for much more than he bargained for.

"I want readers to experience living in Honduras through me before they go there to live," Tate writes. "I want them to know how to do it right without learning it the hard way. It's a beautiful place to live, but you need to know how to live there before you go."
