Nearly 25 years ago, author James L. Capra invented a story that he shared with his six children as they grew up. Its message was that despite life's storms, everyone was created for a purpose and destined for greatness. Now, Capra is publishing his story "The Eagle and the Seagulls: A Wisdom Story for Children and Adults" (published by Lulu) so that he can share its lessons with all children.

The book centers on the story of Micah. Micah is a young boy who is going through a difficult time. He struggles to fit in with others and doesn't understand why. He goes to visit his grandfather, who tells him the story of the eagle and the seagulls to help Micah understand why times are tough for him now and how things will get better.

Written as a parable, "The Eagle and the Seagulls" highlights the importance of personal discipline and character. Though written to appeal to children, Capra's book contains truths that can be relevant to all ages.

"I believe the message is especially on-point with our young children today who are growing up in a world that favors the importance of being popular at all costs, versus the importance of discipline, faith and character," Capra says. "This message is equally important for all ages."
