Helen Williamson, a writer and great-grandmother, has completed her first book "Sammy's Zoo - The Place to Visit": a lovingly crafted and gorgeously illustrated trek into an exciting new world of imagination.

On how she would describe her book, its message, and the characters, author Helen Williamson said, "I describe this book as a self-help book. The message is to let everyone know it is OK to be different because everybody is different. In some ways it is more noticeable in some more than others. All the characters are different than what they look like."

Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Helen Williamson's vibrant new story is a classic childhood escapade filled with lovable characters and a heartwarming message.

Welcome to Sammy's Zoo where strange things live. Yep, really strange things, but everyone who lives here are truly happy. There's Sammy Sam, a noodle and the owner of the zoo; Angel, the white beaver; Muna the catfish who looks like a girl; Weese the cow, who looks like a lion, and her beautiful sister Beauty; and Pie, a girl who looks like a baboon! Everyone and everything is different in Sammy's Zoo, but that's all right because being different is a good thing. Being different makes you special, makes you especially you! Come and visit Sammy's Zoo where differences are welcomed and celebrated, where being special is a source of happiness.

Readers who wish to experience this irreverent work can purchase "Sammy's Zoo - The Place to Visit at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play or Barnes and Noble.
