NJ-based CoTria, a productivity training company, announced a review from getabstract.com of CEO and business author Garrett Miller's debut book, Hire on a WHIM.

The website is the world's largest resource of business book summaries. "Getabstract maintains a particularly high standard about the books they review," Miller said. "When they contacted me, I was honored. To receive a rating of superior was a thrill."

Getabstract.com reviewers gave "WHIM" high points for practicality and content. One wrote, "WHIM provides excellent advice."

To write "Hire on a WHIM: The Four Qualities That Make for Great Employees", Miller drew on his successful career as a hiring manger in a Fortune 50 company. The book outlines a step-by-step process for identifying and hiring great employees.

The process begins with understanding why the four qualities: work ethic, humility, integrity and maturity (WHIM) are so important to identify and hire. Finding all four traits in a single candidate is difficult but necessary. In 106 pages, Miller helps readers - from the most experienced managers to those who have just begun - to make better hiring decisions.

When asked why "WHIM" seems to strike such a positive chord, Miller said, "It was best summed up by a veteran hiring manager, who had just completed the "Hire on a WHIM" course his company had prescribed for all of their managers. He approached me with a big smile and said, 'Garrett, I knew all of this stuff, but I was never able to package it in a way that I could remember it and repeat it over and over again. I wish I'd had this thirty years ago.'"

The style is an easy-to-read parable broken into short bite-sized chapters. In the sections that follow each chapter, Miller lays out a plan for hiring success, elaborating, defining and providing specifics on concepts just introduced. His sample questions for drawing out the qualities are effective and helpful.

The book is available as a soft cover and e-book. It is available at most online suppliers and at CoTria.com.
