"Granddad's Dictionary: Reflections on life in America" (published by WestBow Press) is author Michael Moffitt's attempt to get the American people thinking unconventionally. With its challenges, questions and riddles, it invites readers to reconsider and revive values upon which America is founded.

Much like Thomas Paine's "Common Sense," Moffit's aim is to cause readers to think about their government and country. Like Paine, Moffitt utilizes language that is easy for anyone to understand - this is a book intended for citizens, not politicians.

The book is organized around reflections on 65 words that make up the content of this dictionary. Major themes within these pages include optimism, respect for all citizens and financial and moral discipline. Moffitt stresses the importance of passing down these principles so that future generations of informed citizens will develop character and the desire to protect these values.
