Author Grace Ryan shares a love story that she equates with Nicholas Sparks' work in her new romance novel, "Taking Chances" (published by AuthorHouse).

Isabelle is a young, single mother, doing the best she can to raise her son on her own, despite the ever-present trials of life. Isaac is nine years her junior. Though they have to work and fight for the life they know they want together, Isaac gives Isabelle a reason to believe in love again.

"Any great love demands great sacrifice," Ryan says. "Isaac and Isabelle's story is no exception."

Isaac and Isabelle must deal with the ups and downs of life. Their story is not cut-and-dry, much like real life, but their happy ending offers readers an escape from everyday stress.

With her story, Ryan hopes to reach out to the jaded of the world to remind them to keep faith in the idea that unconditional love still exists.

"'Taking Chances' is about having the courage to take a chance on love," Ryan says, "even if it seems crazy."
