Gany, a devoted writer and author, has completed his new book of poetry "Gay Sonnets": a gripping and unique twist of poetry. The author wrote the collection in Shakespearean 14-line form.

Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Gany's poignant tale is a vividly enlightening work of poetry that takes an in-depth look into the life, fears and accomplishments of the author.

It is December 7, 1941, and Gany wants to go home from this visit to his Aunt's in-laws. He's having one of his spells that no one believes and the only safe place is home. Years later, they will label it agoraphobia, and he will go to the doctor's and be given lots of pills that won't work.

Well, he's in their library reading King Lear and they think it's pretty weird for an eleven-year-old to read Shakespeare. At sixteen, having played hooky from school, church and some more pleasant activities, he asks if there is a way to get a high school diploma. They put him on home instruction. Discovering that he understands what he reads, an English teacher drives him to Brooklyn Tech a few times a week to read poetry and prose over the "High School of the Air", a newly formed effort to increase the knowledge of home-bound students.

Gany decides to write poetry in the Shakespearean 14-line form, but they will not be shown to anyone for they are in Gay mode. Something he has found out about himself and he is upset, but the school psychiatrist is trying to stop the guilt that's been put on him. Shakespeare had to disguise his poems to Southampton and Gany would really like to be more open. Out is years down the road. Later he shows some to gay friends but most do not understand them except a college professor who says some are pretty good. The world changes with the help of Gany's politicking and he decides to publish these romantic and erotic ventures.

Readers who wish to experience this profound work can purchase "Gay Sonnets" at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play or Barnes and Noble.
