Author Francis X. Ryan, CPA, CGMA, MBA wanted to help companies solve problems. Over the years he developed an approach to problem solving that involved creative uses of accounting and information systems. He believes his approach will ensure organizations will have the greatest opportunity to survive and thrive by using a creative, unique approach to lean and activity based costing. This belief prompted him in writing "Revolutionizing Accounting for Decision Making: Combining the Disciplines of Lean with Activity Based Costing" (published by Xlibris).

The purpose of this book is to combine multiple disciplines of lean operations with activity-based costing in a user- friendly approach so that executives and leaders of organizations can make more informed decisions while looking at all of the facts and circumstances which impact decision-making.

"The entire concept of activity based costing and going lean is designed to support the governance responsibilities of management and the efficient allocation of resources," Ryan points out. "Too frequently, bureaucracies build up in organizations which create an environment in which the reason for spending becomes disassociated with the spending itself. Our employees have the right to expect those in management to rationally make decisions."

A number one new book release for over two weeks at Amazon.com, "Revolutionizing Accounting for Decision Making" hopes to challenge readers with what they have been taught and rethink how they should solve problems.
