In "Cape of the Crone: Book of Willow" (published by Balboa Press), Eli assists in unveiling the hidden Goddess, who is guided to reclaim her destiny as a divine maiden on Earth while fighting the influences that press her to deny the underworld. "Cape of the Crone" is the first book in Faye Nelson's "The Tree Series."

Nelson grapples with a number of topical themes in her book, including religion, politics, war and sex: "This book challenges political and religious platforms in a way that offers the reader a new perspective of feminine influence on a personal and global scale," says Nelson.

A spiritual component underpins the politics of the novel, which Nelson hopes will provide the reader with an alternative perspective.

An excerpt from "Cape of the Crone":
Deeper and deeper into the portal she traveled, back through the dimensions.
There was a dim light offered by a small candle. "Hurry, child, there is not much time!" Marie remembered the woman saying the same thing when she broke through the ice.
"I am Fee, one of your Mothers," she whispered as she pulled Marie into a chamber and quickly sealed it. Marie didn't question the statementit was as if she already knew this, but she frantically felt as if she'd just walked into a tomb.
