PUNTA GORDA, Fla.

Author Fakher Shriteh notes that many books have been written about Palestine and the West Bank as part of Palestine; however, very few books were written about Gaza. While "Gaza" (published by Xlibris) has been and is still the 'boiling pot' in the Middle East conflict, a lot of people knows little or nothing about the place's ongoing struggle.

As this narrative reveals the history and current plight of Gaza, readers get to know how the small piece of Palestinian-ruled land has been resisting the Israeli occupation for a long time, listing its tally for over 6 decades already. The book confirms that even though Israel attacked Gaza many times violently, and killed, wounded and arrested hundreds of thousands, the Palestinians in general, and Gaza in particular, never gave up the struggle for freedom.

In this brave exposé, Shriteh seeks to clarify the truth of the conflict in Palestine which has been distorted by the media - who for him "tries to show the victims who are the Palestinians as aggressors and that media show Israel as an innocent state in order to change the truth upside down."
