Randy Hamelin and Erica McKenzie's "Finding the Spirit Within: A Self-Guided Mental Health Activity Workbook" (published by iUniverse) is designed to provide all the tools necessary to help readers discover who they truly are, and guide them along as they develop the person they eventually find they want to be. The workbook can also be used by mental health professionals to generate methods for their clients in their own practice.

Hamelin found inspiration from his counseling clients: "I found it important for (my clients) to go home with homework so that they can continue their therapeutic processes at home in-between sessions."

With mental health issues becoming more and more of a prevalent topic in society, the authors hope their workbook will provide clarity to common subjects pertaining to anxiety, depression, PTSD, happiness and the wide range of factors that attribute to wellness. "Finding the Spirit Within" is crafted to help its readers establish goals and overcome challenges.

Hamelin hopes the book will help others understand that "they can become aware of what they can do to help themselves reach their own potential."
