Author Etim O. Uso's 18-year old marriage breakdown has prompted him to ask, "Where did I, or we, go wrong?" In his attempt to answer that question, he deploys his analyses skill and problem solving technique in an effort to find a general solution to the perennial problems of modern-day marriage. "Marriage Is Not a Vision It Is a Strategy" (published by Xlibris) is inspired by his Uso's failure to be a "good husband".

Uso observes that all aspects of people's lives have been disrupted by modern technology and the information revolution, and marriage is not an exception. Adding that unless couples do something about the battles that are raging inside the bedroom, Uso says that humans may be forced to choose between having a nation full of good husbands and good wives or the one full of great men and women. And he points out that the only way society can have both is if couples consciously align marriage with their strategic vision and purpose in life.

"The marriage institution has been disrupted due, largely, to the changed roles of modern women and can no longer meet the demand of our complex society," Uso asserts, "What is required is innovation that aligns marriage with our goals and aspirations - not just a religious or social obligation."

Combining experience and his analytical skills, Uso is able to point out that "Marriage Is Not a Vision It Is a Strategy;" and in order for that union to be happy and successful, planning and analyses before and after marriage is heavily required.
