Hong Kong is a place with multiple personalities, as a result of being both Cantonese Chinese and under a more recent contemporary ex-British influence. Today, the former British colony is a major tourism destination for China's increasingly affluent mainland population. It is also an important hub in East Asia with global connections to many of the world's cities. It is a unique destination that has absorbed people and cultural influences from places as diverse as Vietnam and Vancouver and proudly proclaims itself to be Asia's World City.

Just 30 Minutes written by Elizabeth Ostring recollects some of the most unforgettable, inspiring and uplifting stories from remarkable people she knew and whom she meets again in person on a journey in a Hong Kong Mass Transit Railway train. These people stories represent a cross section of Hong Kong society, and each one of them shows how special and interesting each of these people really is.

According to a travel film maker who made a review about this book, he was completely caught up with the author's people stories and even praised her remarkable writing as well as the way she recalls everything with so much detail after all these years, which is truly amazing. He further added that it brought back in him so much memories of Hong Kong. A sociologist also commented that she really enjoyed reading this book which provided not only a vivid insight about Hong Kong but shows the author's close affinity with its people.

Just 30 Minutes shares the fascinating lives of courageous and interesting people, to whom author Elizabeth Ostring owes so much and from whom she has learned even more. She believes that these people's lives and their stories will enrich readers the way it did for herself. These stories will even inspire them to share the good news of the gospel of Jesus.
