When readers last left Elizabeth Highland, she and her long-distance friend-turned-boyfriend Timothy Blumefield had finally made their relationship work. Now Highland is back in this new book, "The Chronicles of Elizabeth Highland: The Journey Continues Volume II" (published by AuthorHouse), the sequel to "The Chronicles of Elizabeth Highland: Life, Love Soul... Mate."

Highland was encouraged to write a sequel by her editor as well as Blumefield, who was supportive of the first book. When he learned that Highland was writing her story, he embraced it, assuring her he would be "most flattered to be romantically linked." With his encouragement, Highland began writing.

In her ongoing quest for spiritual enlightenment, Highland journeys to Istanbul, Jerusalem and Jordan, exploring the rich history, culture and faith of each location. Her findings change and challenge her ways of thinking, leading her to new discoveries about love and life.

Highland also offers readers a behind-the-scenes look at her publishing process. Her emails with Blumefield effectively show the work put into creating the book and how it eventually led her to New York, where she pitched the book to Hollywood executives.

"Trust what the universe has in store for you!" Highland tells her readers. "Things happen for a reason. Don't ever give up hope. Don't say 'Yeah, but... .' Stay positive and see what that brings you with time."
