Dr. Mark D. Sands Releases KILLING THE INFIDELS

A radical Al-Qaida member named Razmi Yousef plans to exact a terrorist plot while a United States' Joint Terrorism Task Force assembles a mission to identify and eliminate the terrorist cells lurking in the distance in the new fiction from author Dr. Mark D. The year is 1993 and Razmi Yousef conjures up a plan to kill thousands of U.S. citizens by attacking the World Trade Center in New York - a plan that fails miserably. While he scribbles on a cocktail napkin the details of his next endeavor to kill 80,000 U.S. "infidels," the Joint Terrorism Task Force is secretly plotting his demise.

"Killing the Infidels" takes a close-up look at what might happen when covert radical extremists attempt to carry out malevolent plans while hiding in plain sight. Inspired by his years of service in the U.S. Army's elite criminal investigation division, Sands took on the role of author to shed light on the issues of terrorism that he feels plague the world today.

"Most Americans do not know the extent of Islamic jihadists and how many covert cells are operating inside the U.S.," Sands says. "ISIS is a perfect example of what is happening and most citizens think they (ISIS) are only in the Middle East."

Sands hopes his book will educate readers about possible terrorist threats on the U.S. and the many law enforcement agencies prepared to protect citizens from such groups.

About the Author
Dr. Mark D. Sands entered the United States Army as a military policeman in 1975 and ended his military career in 1991 as a special agent with the Army's elite criminal investigation division. He worked on hundreds of felony investigations that have now become the basis for his fictional writing. In 1995, Sands was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and degenerative spinal disease; however, he uses these challenges to motivate others suffering from similar disabilities. Sands currently lives in California.
