PONTE VEDRA, Fla. - Some years after his twin brother, Ron, passed away author Don T. Resio dreamt of him and the poetry that he used to write. He awoke from his dream, got out of bed, and began to write a poem. The next morning, he read the poem he had just written and it sent chills down his spine. The poetry was in a style that he had never written before, a style that he had always admired in his brother's writing, but could never duplicate. Over many years, Don would sometimes feel an urge to write a particular poem that seemed to be handed to him complete within a dream.

"Only A Dream" (published by Xlibris) is a book of poetry which uses words to paint images and feelings. This poetry celebrates the beauty of life, its sadness and happiness, its ephemeral yet eternal nature, and the wonder of the spirits that surround all. It takes readers into a world of their own where reality and dreams become one. It lets their imagination run free, believe in their own feelings, and know that they can live life any way they want when they find it in their dreams.

"I have performed readings at universities and to friends and neighbors at their request. Many are moved to tears by some of the poems and have written long "thank-you" notes of appreciation for the copies of the book that I have given them. They felt that the poems spoke directly to them and to their hearts," the author said.

Don T. Resio tries to leave the words in his poems flexible enough to allow readers to move them around inside their minds to fit their individual feelings and needs. In "Only A Dream," he found a way for Ron to live on. The closeness they shared spans time and space and has made this book a labor of love.
