In his spiritual memoir, "Testimony of Miracles" (published by WestBow Press), Brother Don Haynes takes readers through powerful experiences, including near-death events, angel visitations and sacrifices made by a soldier at war.

Haynes opens up about his difficult journey through life. He describes such hardships as being abandoned on the streets at 7 years old. He eventually joined the military, hoping to die in battle and escape the misery of not having a family and living on the streets. He shows readers how a supernatural force saved his life multiple times in the Vietnam War, and how he received instructions that led him to church and what he describes as 30 miracles.

An excerpt from "Testimony of Miracles":

"From that day forward, I was a completely changed man. I no longer had any of the desires to do those things that I had done for forty years. I found a church and became a member. Each night I prayed for the answers to the questions I had about all the mysterious things that had happened in my life. The Holy Ghost answered each one with Bible Scriptures. I prayed and asked about the time I drowned, but it did not happen. The Holy Ghost explained, 'When they tried to take Jesus to kill Him, in John 7:30, no one laid a hand on Him, for His hour had not come.'"

Haynes hopes his story inspires readers' spiritual lives. "The book reveals the true word of God, his wonders to perform miracles, his love, caring, goodness and grace, and it shows us that we all have a purpose in this life," he says.
