T. J. Burgin marks her debut in the world of fantasy fiction with "The First Tail" (published by Xlibris AU). The first installment in the "Tails of Two Dragons" trilogy, this new novel follows Alice, a young spook who finds herself at the center of an epic quest that will not only change her life but quite possibly the future of her world.

Alice is bound to an old, poorly understood prophecy involving her mother and uncle. The prophecy, loosely based on the fantastical tales of the Arthurian wizard, Merlin, soon takes Alice on an adventure filled with peril and astonishing discoveries. In the midst of riveting magic, life-changing prophecies and unimaginable danger, Alice learns about her true destiny and her role in a grand plot that could change the world as she knows it.

Burgin shares that it was her love for storytelling that prompted her to create a story she could share with other people. She is currently working on the second novel in the trilogy.

Suffused with magic and menace, "The First Tail" is a riveting first novel filled with richly drawn characters and twists and turns that will leave readers breathless for the next book.
