In "Principally Driven: A Provocative Account of a Full and Exciting Life" (published by Archway Publishing), author Daryl L. Unnasch examines the virtues of growing up in a rural community and celebrates the discoveries he's made in expanding his horizons. His story encourages readers to be lifelong learners and participants.

Looking back at life in the United States over the past 75 years, Unnasch reflects upon America's education system, sharing how important a teacher is in the life of a student. "Being impartial, congenial, and willing to help makes a lasting impression on students who are at a pivotal stage in their lives-and it's more important today than ever before," he says.

Unnasch also covers a range of other topics, including cultural trends, politics and traveling, which all signal to one of the key messages of the book: Change is perpetual. It is within these changes, Unnasch suggests, that people have the opportunity to leave their imprint and become part of an ever-changing world.

"Life is what we make it - exhilarating or boring, tiring or uplifting, happy or sad," he says. "It is also composed of millions of choices, choices that determine who we will become."
