An Indiana-based author and pediatric neurosurgeon has released his debut novel, "Nothing Good Happens at .... The Baby Hospital." The book, by Daniel Fulkerson, MD, details the heartbreak, joy and tragedies one experiences as a pediatric neurosurgeon. What's more, Dr. Fulkerson shares several inspiring stories of his patients and professors alike.

'Hospital' incorporates humor as several of these topics are addressed. Dr. Fulkerson also shares his experiences from medical school to his early days on a military base all the way to working in a specialized children's hospital, the book details every step of the way. Reflecting on his career, Dr. Fulkerson felt compelled to put his experiences on paper.

"I work with remarkable children and their families every day and I find their stories very interesting," said Dr. Fulkerson. "I wanted to capture that in a fun, entertaining way for a wide audience."

Dr. Fulkerson hopes 'Hospital' will appeal to the masses, not just those in the medical field. "I'd like this book to bring joy to all who come into contact with it."

"This is an excellent read for anyone, especially those in the medical field," a reviewer wrote in a five-star review of "Nothing Good Happens at ... The Baby Hospital." "This book shares many facets of being a medical professional - from the difficult and heartbreaking times, to the successes and triumphs."
