BALTIMORE

Poetry is ageless. The most primitive people have used it, and the most civilized have cultivated it.

With actual, handwritten poetry becoming a rare and exquisite treasure in our fast-paced, technology driven world, it is author Cherie Turlington's hope that others will find the joy of putting pen to paper and sharing their thoughts, loves and memorable moments of life.

Inspired by Juliette Gordon Low, Turlington's new book, "Send Me Some Love in the Mailbox," is a compilation of short, poetic pieces reflecting the enjoyment that only an actual, handwritten love letter can deliver.

"This mode of communication is becoming increasingly rare, and we are losing a very personalized way of building deep relationships with our loved ones through the written word," Turlington said.

"Send Me Some Love in the Mailbox" is a filled with expressive insight into poetry as an important mode of communication that helps build deep relationships with loved ones through written world.
