Twenty six years ago, author Cathy Brown was given two months to two years to live. She has defied the odds of someone with metastatic melanoma and now shares an empowering account of her triumph over cancer. "My Answer to Cancer" (published by Balboa Press AU) is an open and honest narrative of the emotional and mental struggle which comes with being diagnosed with a terminal disease and gives hope to people facing adversity.

In her desperate search for healing, Brown discovered that there is much more to recovery than conventional medicine. In telling her story, she reveals her struggles and shares insights into the powerful effect the mind and emotions have on the body. Since her diagnosis, she has worked closely with others affected by cancer, and she draws upon years of study and reflection in telling her inspiring story of survival.

This memoir shows readers that when one is diagnosed with cancer, it is easy to lose hope. What started out as a bitter questioning of why she has been faced with such burden has turned into a holistic way of dealing with cancer - looking at the physical, mental, spiritual and emotional aspects of life through the patient's eyes. In the end, what Brown found was healing, empowerment and her life purpose.

"I am not promoting products or magical cures - just sharing an open and honest account of my emotional challenges in life and how I found ways to heal these wounds through the power of my mind," Brown shares. "I discovered that there are far more choices than I had ever been told and my answers were within. This led to a journey of self-discovery."
