Colors of the Sun and Moon is dedicated to Talia Aikens-Nuez's little guy, her "sun." Talia Aikens-Nuez wanted to be a meteorologist, a politician and a lawyer. She started writing after the birth of her daughter. Raising her bilingual children inspired Talia to write multicultural children's books. Talia's family loves nature so much that she and her husband vowed to always live near the water. They live on a river in Connecticut. Illustrator Amy Caringella grew up in the San Gabriel Valley drawing for as long as she can remember.
