Barnes & Noble Announces MasterCard Program

Barnes & Noble, Inc. (NYSE:BKS), the nation's largest retail bookseller and a leading retailer of content, digital media and educational products, today unveiled the new and improved Barnes & Noble MasterCard Program. This program is available in stores nationwide and takes just a few minutes to apply. The Barnes & Noble MasterCard, issued by Barclaycard, features a newly designed card as well as several exclusive cardmember benefits including:

• A $25 Barnes & Noble Gift Card after first purchase. If customers apply during a transaction in store or online at BN.com and are approved instantly, that purchase will qualify them for a Barnes & Noble Gift Card.
• 5% back on Barnes & Noble purchases. By paying with the Barnes & Noble MasterCard at any Barnes & Noble store or online at BN.com, the cardmember will receive a credit for 5% of that purchase amount on their billing statement.
• A $25 Barnes & Noble Gift Card each time the cardmember reaches 2,500 points.
• 2 points for every dollar spent on restaurant purchases and 1 point for every dollar spent on purchases everywhere else (excluding Barnes & Noble purchases).
• 12 months of B&N Membership after spending $7,500 in a year on eligible purchases.
• No annual fee.
• Complimentary online access to FICO Credit Score.*

For the first time, customers can apply for the Barnes & Noble MasterCard in stores and online at BN.com. Customers can apply within a matter of minutes and upon approval receive a 5% rebate as well as qualify for a $25 Barnes & Noble Gift Card if they are making a Barnes & Noble purchase. Their new credit card will arrive in the mail 7 to 10 days later.
