The original concept for this novel developed from simple banter between two friends who had both lived in England and enjoyed the iconic UK television programmes shown in Australia. The characters and plot for the story developed over the occasional wine and cheese platter after work.

From this collaboration, the persona of Veronica Parsons emerged. Veronica is clearly Australian by nationality but an internationalist by nature. She is a keen observer of human behavior but blithely unaware of her own idiosyncrasies. Sociable and inquisitive, Veronica is an ardent amateur sleuth and archaeologist who proffers her expertise around the world. She is looking forward to sharing many more adventures with her readers.
