DURHAM, N.C.

Drama, humor, bravery and acts of good citizenship are right at home in, "Kidz 2 Cherish" (published by AuthorHouse), Andrew Collins' latest children's chapter book, which draws inspiration from the stories he told his grandchildren more than 20 years ago.

Edward The Good, a fifth grader, is the oldest of three siblings. With a constant urge to do good in the world, he is the leader of his siblings and known around town as Mr. Fixit. His third-grade sister, Nellie, has a fixation on animals and a twinkle in her eye. Last but not least, Picadillo is the youngest of the siblings. His infatuation with videos, movies and role-playing make him a unique piece of work.

Throughout "Kidz 2 Cherish," readers watch as the siblings encounter various situations and happenings that test the pre-teens' courage and abilities. All of the stories in Collins' latest work exhibit the merits of bravery, good citizenship and the relief humor can bring.

Collins hopes his stories will leave readers feeling wholesome, satisfied and inspired, just as they did for his grandchildren over two decades ago.
