I thought so, too!
And although Travis Wall is one of my all-time favorite dancers from SYTYCD (especially when he was choreographed by Mia Michaels), I haven't always been as enthusiastic about his choreography.
I did like this piece, however. There were phrases of Sarah Vaughan's interpretation that on their own, I would consider to be self-indulgent and not enjoyable, but in combination with Travis' choreography, her vocals had more emotional impact. There were also elements of Travis' choreography that I thought might fall flat, or be lost without the camera work and the lighting. (FWIW, I think they're doing some very creative lighting work with that back wall, this season.)
I didn't think any one element of that performance, on its own, was particularly good. They all created something interesting to watch in combination, though.
