We had fun when I did a similar posting about one month ago, thanks for all of your responses and input. Let's take another look at what's going to be happening in the new season. Looking forward to your feedback!

Let's start off by assuming these shows and there venues are not going to change:

  • Waitress @ Brooks Atkinson
  • School of Rock @ Winter Garden
  • Fun Home @ Circle in the Square
  • Book of Mormon @ Eugene Neill
  • Wicked @ The Gershwin
  • Humans @ Helen Hayes (if this wins the Tony for Best Play, and a lot of you are noting that the H^2 will be undergoing renovation, won't this show simply move?)
  • Paramour @ Lyric
  • Phantom of the Opera @ The Majestic
  • Lion King @ The Minskoff
  • Shuffle Along @ Music Box
  • Cats @ Neil Simon
  • Aladdin @ The New Amsterdam
  • Natasha and Pierre and The Great Comet of 1812 @ The Imperial
  • Hamilton @ Richard Rogers
  • Beautiful @ Stephen Sondheim
  • Faslettoes @ Walter Kerr
  • The Chery Orchard @ American Airlines
  • Photograph 51 (@ Lyceum or Broadhurst)
  • les Liaisons Dangereuses @ The Booth
  • New Anastasia musical @ The Shurbert

Are these shows going to last:

  • Kinky Boots @ Al Hurschfeld
  • Jersey Boys @ The August Wilson
  • Eclipsed @ Jon Golden
  • Tuck Everlasting @ Broadhurst
  • Bright Star @ Cotre Theatre (I really hope this is successful)
  • American Psycho @ Gerald Schoenfeld
  • Finding Neverland @ Lunt-Fontanne
  • On Your Feet @ Marquis
  • American in Paris @ The Palace
  • Something Rotten @ St. James (still my favorite of art season)
  • The King and I @ Vivian Beaumont
  • Fiddler on the Roof @ Broadway Theatre
  • The Color Purple @ Bernard B. Jacobs

Houses that are empty:

  • Ethel Berrymore
  • The Hudson
  • Longacre
  • Belasco

Whre are these supposedly incoming shows going to go?:

  • Sponge Bob Square Pants
  • War Paint
  • An Act of God @ The Booth (We know this is a limited engagement)
  • Prince of Broadway
  • Motown (We know this is going to be at the Nederlander)
  • Diner
  • Smokey Joe's Cafe
  • Singing in the Rain
  • Come from Away
  • Charlie and the Chocalate Factory
  • A Bronx Tale
  • The Present (Staring Cate Blanchett)
  • Hello Dolly (I think this will go into the St.James where HD originally opened)
  • Amelie
  • The Front Page
  • To Kill A Mocking Bird
  • The Wiz
  • Miss Saigon
  • Bandstand
  • Sunset Boulevard
  • Gotta Dance
  • Groundhog Day
  • Hazel

Possible Transfers:

  • The Robber Bride Groom
  • Dear Evan Hanson (this is a sure bet to transfer)
  • Mary Page Marlowe

We know Roundabout has American Airlines and Studio 54 occupied and know that The Manhattan Theater Club has the Samuel Freddham occupied.

Looking forward to hearing form everybody, let's see what happens!

Typing H^2 is so much more of a chore than typing HH, or even Helen Hayes. Lol.

Has it been announced that Anastasia is going into the shubert? I remember reading someone say the dodgers are closing Matilda to put a Bronx tale there.

The robber bridegroom is not going to transfer

Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist. Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino. This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more. Tazber's: Reply to Is Stephen Schwartz a Practicing Christian

I hope Dear Evan Hansen takes the Booth if it transfers. I think that theater would be perfect for this show.

Do we know if it's a limited run or an open-ended one? Because if it's limited Dear Evan Hansen could come in after.

I overheard that "War Paint" will be heading to the Nederlander after "Motown".

I think The August Wilson and/or Al Hirschfeld could be available. I would keep an eye on Jersey Boys

Rumor heard today... Spring '17 LCT ~  Emma Watson in My Fair Lady with Bart Sher, Directing.

Anyone know if this is true?

Anastasia is going into the Shubert.

The stage adaptation of Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty’s 1997 animated musical Anastasia will arrive on Broadway at a Shubert theatre-to-be-announced during the 2016-17 Broadway season.

Stage Entertainment USA ( Sister Act, Rocky) and Tom Kirdahy ( It’s Only A Play, The Visit) announced plans for the Broadway transfer April 15. playbill.com

Not exactly. "A Shubert theater" is different than "The Shubert Theater".

Seems like a risky investment, without us knowing what's up with the Andrews directed Australian version. Moreover, won't Emma Watson be super busy promoting Beauty & The Beast live action movie?

Add to the list "The Play That Goes Wrong", in February-ish.

No way My Fair Lady is happening. There's literally no buzz about it. It would at least be speculated at this point.

The Glass Menagerie with Sally Field has also been circling for a while.

I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

^I've heard the dodgers are trying to keep hold of the shubert to bring in a Bronx tale.

In addition, H squared cannot be simplified assuming that H is an algebraic value. *Math hat off*

I appoligise for any spelling mistakes. I may be on my mobile. Clumsy fingers and small little touchscreen keys don't mixx. I try to spellcheck, but I may miss something.
