He seems like a much better choice than any of the guys that played Finch in that last Broadway revival (what was he so busy doing then that they didn't think of him?) Hope the concert is fantastic!
"Contentment, it seems, simply happens. It appears accompanied by no bravos and no tears."
I paid nothing for my seat and still felt cheated out of my evening.
I enjoyed it, but it was hideously under-rehearsed.
.I would have to admit I wouldn't rush to see this again as the story is weak yet good songs..
What a joy this was. Honestly, I can't fault it at all. Yes it's dated, but who cares? Doesn't stop us reviving Shakespeare 20 times a year does it!
Just got in from seeing this (oh for slow trains) and my mother and I absolutely adored it. Yes, the book is horrendously dated but to hear the music performed so wonderfully was a real treat.
Yes, I really enjoyed it. Loved Jonathan Groff, his energy, he was a delight to watch - and listen to. Hannah Waddingham stole it for me, loved her performance. Clive Rowe woefully underused.
Still, a lovely show. (Glad I grabbed a half price ticket though. Would never dream of paying in the £60 mark for this.)
