"Can't wait" doesn't even cover it. If you aren't dying to see this then you just simply have no taste at all.

"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” ~ Muhammad Ali

Looks good.

Have you seen the documentary "Nina Simone : The Legend"? It's well worth a look, with lots of intimate personal stuff and live footage, not so much with the retrospective talking heads like this new one. Up on YouTube for those interested.

I’ve got tickets to see "What Happened, Miss Simone?" at the Hot Docs Documentary Film Festival in Toronto this weekend – can’t wait! I love Nina!

It looks like the documentary has started airing on Netflix this week.

Affecting is the proper descriptor. I can't say that I enjoyed it, but it was absolutely moving.

Pretty pretty please don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f**ckin' perfect!

A magnificent documentary-- told a difficult story with depth and nuance. I barely new any of Nina Simone's bio and this film painted a rich picture of her as a deeply gifted artist and as a deeply flawed human being. Those clips from her personal diary really showed an insider's look at her life that was shocking and naked, so rare to find. Just a great work.

We just saw the doc on Amy Winehouse a couple of days before-- both films are in a class by themselves.

Saw "Amy" while I was in NYC this past weekend. Difficult to watch. Very very difficult. I had been a huge fan since the release of her debut album "Frank" and was not sure what to expect from this documentary, but I think the director did a superb job in respectfully honoring her memory while still showing us what ultimately led to her demise. Her death is still hard to think about - what a talent.
