Picking what the actual outcome might be. Not personal choices.
I'm going to hold off on predicting for a couple of days or a week. I think the Times' picks does indeed "shift buzz", as ljay has said. And I'm not sure of a couple of things yet.

Happy threadjack: I'm just happy that so many performances and shows I like received nominations. I'm especially happy for Tony Yazbeck and Max Von Essen and Lisa Kron--and I really hope the best supporting actress/musical goes to Ruthie Ann Miles, because her performance has really stuck with me since I saw The King and I. She redefined the role of Lady Thiang in a way I had never imagined.
I'm also happy for Jerry Robbins, whose work was the direct inspiration for the work of two of the nominated choreographers--Joshua Bergasse and Christopher Gattelli--and an indirect inspiration for Christopher Wheeldon, who was somewhat of a protege of Robbins at New York City Ballet.
You know, I could see Hand to God putting on a Avenue Q-like Tony campaign and pulling out ahead of Curious Incident. There's is, in my opinion, the best ad campaign currently out there for any play or musical (including Something Rotten!). I also think Curious Incident and Wolf Hall could split the prestige UK transfer vote.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
When it comes to Hand to God vs. Curious Incident, I think we're dealing with the classic production vs. script battle. The theatre awards don't have a separate category for "best script of a play" like they do for the musical categories (Best Book). Therefore, we end up with a show like Hand to God, which has an amazing script and good production, battling against Curious Incident, which has an amazing production and a good script.
War Horse won because it had an amazing production, though the other nominees had better scripts. Alternatively, Clybourne Park had a great script with a so-so production, and it beat Peter and the Starcatcher which had a pretty-good script in an amazing production.
To be fair, Clybourne Park had also won the Pulitzer, and Hand to God doesn't have that distinction. And while the production wasn't dazzling, the reveal of the modern house in Act II of Clybourne Park was pretty impressive given that it looked like a completely different set.
I do agree that the race does feel like the year War Horse won.
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

I feel very uncertain about many of thes, but most surprising is that there really doesn't seem to be a single favorite in any of the featured acting categories with Featured Actor in a Musical being particularly tough because I could actually imagine any of the five getting it! It's going to be an exciting year!
