Chick-fil-A is hitting the Big Apple in a big way.
The Atlanta-based chain plans to open a stand-alone three-level, 5,000-square-foot restaurant at the corner of Sixth Avenue and W. 37th Street in Manhattan in late summer, Crain’s New York Business reported. CHICK-FIL-A IS ON IT'S WAY!
Bigotry trumps deliciousness. I hope they crash and burn.

And those of us who grew up with Chik-fil-A never really considered the events of the past few years to actually be controversial. It was just the rest of the country catching up on old news.

It's about time. They should have been in the NYC market 10 years ago.
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.
I haven't had Chick-Fil-A in like 7 years as I actively stopped eating it. However, it really is delicious. But I just can't support it, and I hope the controversy isn't "past" but "on-going" and more people getting wise. That said, I foresee that this location will be crazy successful as it is delicious and for the small group of people who acknowledge what it stands for, they're either people don't really care about what Chick-Fil-A stands for or think them buying their product won't make a difference. There's also the First Amendment rights peeps (who don't acknowledge that people are also free to react by speaking out and informing people) who will eat it out of spite against the "PC-police", "social justice warriors" or whatever they're calling people nowadays that ruins their fun or inconveniences them in some way. But really, it'll be successful primarily because it's delicious.
I wonder if this location will close on Sunday like all of their other locations. Or will the almighty dollar outweigh their company mission statement.
Oops, I didn't read the article. I find Chick-fil A to be hit or miss. Really depends on the franchise and the management. They have really gone up in price over the years. I can imagine the price of your sandwich combo to be well over $8.00. Just not worth it. But a lot better than Mcdonalds.
It is not delicious and this food is crap. That on top of everything else makes me want to pull through their drive through and make huge bogus orders. I hate this company.
As a Southern Baptist kid, we ate Chik-fil-a whenever possible. They used to bring a little trailer to my university on weekend nights and sell out everything they brought. It's pretty damn tasty. I haven't eaten it in over a decade, though.
Some markets have occasional days where kids get a free kid's meal if they have on cow-print clothes. I know some women who made shirts for their kids. They are all white with cow spots. Each shirt reads, "I love my moms!" They also borrow as many of their kids' friends as they can fit in their mini-van. The moms never order. They just let the kids chow down for free.
Pretty pretty please don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f**ckin' perfect!
Well, we all know Elton John buys Chick-fil-a by 2017 anyway.
Personally, I've never understood almost everyone's obsession with the chicken. I've always found it to have a rubbing alcohol-like aftertaste, but I'm clearly in the minority there.
