What a hypocrite. While he jets all around the world, he wants to ban cars.

But I haven't owned a car since 1996... and I'm vegan... so Al and I are on good terms.
Although growl has a point that your quote is just the first sentence of the article, not a Gore quote, not a Gore paraphrase, and there is nothing connecting that text to Gore, unless you count it because it is next to this picture?!
Plus, if a city is redesigned so that transportation and commuting were easier, so that people voluntarily either stopped owning a car OR just used it much less, how is that coming for people's cars?
Also, something can both be true AND something you don't do. I mean, I should have gone to the gym today. See? Easy.

But since as far as I can tell he doesn't believe there's any such thing as manmade climate change, I'm not sure why he would care how many jets are being used.
