I saw Erin Clemons as Eponine once over the summer and I thought she was terrific. I'm glad she'll get a chance to play the role full time for a little while (wish it was permanent).
Maybe I will go see this now. I was so unimpressed with her singing at the Tony Awards I never wanted to go while Nikki was still in it.

That Tony performance was unfortunate. To be fair, she was hardly the only bad thing about it.
"Some people can thrive and bloom living life in a living room, that's perfect for some people of one hundred and five. But I at least gotta try, when I think of all the sights that I gotta see, all the places I gotta play, all the things that I gotta be at"
I was going to ask if Eden's voice could hold up, but I remember that Caissie had some vocal issues and is doing quite well. Sadly, Eden's voice hasn't sounded the same since her last stint with Wicked.
I love Nikki but she wasn't a very good Eponine. I can't wait them to cast a Jean Valjean who can act (but please, don't send Ramin back in the West End)
There were rumors that Cameron wanted Idina to play Fantine, but she's quite busy at the moment, isn't she?
I was at the show last night, and my friend and I were very impressed with all of the new cast! For me the real standouts were Brennyn and Chris, as I felt they had done the most with character development and also both had fantastic singing voices. Several people in the orchestra stood up and applauded after On My Own, which I have never seen happen! Wallace was also excellent, although he doesn't have that same rich voice Kyle had. That being said, I found his voice very enjoyable, and I am excited to see how he grows as time goes on! Gavin Lee was very different and very British, he played the show very differently, and I really enjoyed it! Feel free to ask any other questions you might have!
Although I wasn't at the show, I just listened to some clips of the new cast on tumblr and I was very impressed. How did you think the new Fantine did? I love Brenyn's voice. I just wish she wouldn't do the "pretending riff..."
I really enjoyed Erika as Fantine, I was worried about anyone living up to how much I loved Cassie in the role, and Erika did a fantastic job! Her I Dreamed A Dream is really raw in terms of emotions, she does not hold back at all.
