PLUS TAX!

That brings the price up quite a bit!!

Don't forget service charges if you go thru Ticketmaster!

This really doesn't sound very wise.

Well since it's a Telecharge show, if you go through Ticketmaster you'll be like the people who bought a box of bull**** from Cards Against Humanity.

When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain. -Kad

Great idea--every bum on a seat has a mouth with an opinion-so good or bad it will create chatter and publicity.

Finally a commensurate price for what we know about the show. Get ready for a marketing blitz. The least anticipated show of the year.

This sounds fun and original. Any news on casting? Will Christian Borle star?

Am I the only one who thought it said "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" at first? Especially since it's playing in the West End.. silly me. (when I scrolled down my facebook feed)

The NYT Article says that Borle and D'arcy James are expected to return as stars. I wonder what this means for D'arcy James and Hamilton

It does sound like it could be a fun show. But I'm planning to see THE KING AND I during the summer.

This sounds like something that might be fun! And not an adaptation of an existing work, which is nice, too. But then I'm a Shakespeare/Elizabethan nerd (occupational hazard of the English major), so I'm a bit biased :)

If they sell out the show 3X at $15.95, will they make more than Side Show did that week?

I would hate to post something to inspire Phantom to reply again, adding a needless 10" of signature to the page a second time, but everything Smaxie said was true.

So, with Something Rotten confirmed for the Spring, here's how my late April/early May theater trip is looking...

Tuesday Night - Fun Home
Wednesday Afternoon - The Audience
Wednesday Night - On the 20th Century
Thursday Night - Something Rotten
Friday Night - The King and I
Saturday Afternoon - Hand to God
Saturday Night - An American in Paris

Sounds like a hopefully winning line up to me. To those wondering why not more plays, I try to mix it up. My last trip in November, I only saw one musical (On the Town). This time, I wanted to emphasize musicals. That and The Audience and Hand to God were the two main plays that stood out to me.

Can't wait to go back, and see all my friends in the theater district and at The Michelangelo Hotel (my usual hotel on these trips).

I have a lot of respect for Kevin McCollum he did RENT, Avenue Q and In The Heights all original and all tony winners. He tends to produce new work and not shows based on movies and tv shows
