I love this song. I love TLC. I miss the rap, but I love Bette for including this in the collection.
"Carson has combined his passion for helping children with his love for one of Cincinnati's favorite past times - cornhole - to create a unique and exciting event perfect for a corporate outing, entertaining clients or family fun."
Bette was always expert at covers: Old Cape Cod, Going To The Chapel, Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, In My Life, Wind Beneath My Wings, When A Man Loves A Woman, and all the others she did.
I like the arrangement of this song, but Bette's sounding a bit old. You can hear a bit of heaviness in the voice that was never there before, some loss of resiliency.
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.
Great song. Excellent production. Tasteful choice to skip the rap and not sound like you-know-who back when she was doing yoga and pilates and the room was full of hotties and she was feeling super-duper as she drove her Mini Cooper.
From Marc Shaiman's FB page, "Well, looks like it's another chapter from the modern give it away for free era: The entire album is streaming on Amazon for a few days! Now, let me be clear, if any of you motherf**kers stream this and then don't buy it (on Amazon, iTunes AND Target, I insist you buy 3 copies!), I will hunt you down like the dog you are. And if any of you motherf**kers listens to this over tinny laptop speakers - that have virtually no bass on them - I will also hunt you down. Hook this **** up to some good speakers or headphones, dammit! THEN turn it up...loud! I have spoken!!" Streaming on Amazon
He is absolutely right. On another note.. I bought tickets this morning for Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett at the Hollywood Bowl.. and I noticed that the prior weekend is blacked out with a un announced event that uses the full Philharmonic........ I have my reasons.. but I think it is "A Evening With Bette Midler at the Hollywood Bowl".
Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist.
Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino.
This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more.

I was somewhat curious about the Radio City show, until it seems like anything decent is part of the half dozen VIP packages. But if you have $1,895 for a front row, meet and greet ticket, this is a great opportunity!
I never knew the words to anything but the chorus before this. I had no idea of the subject matter.
It made me cry.
