She will be great as dead Nessarose. And the title Wicked suits her to a tee. Maybe Lady Macbeth?

Possibly the best and only reason to ever consider voting for UKIP right here. Tighten those borders now boys and girls..

A producer/director cannot seriously consider this actress for a role on the west end and then expect their show to be credible... Can they?

You guys in the UK do realize that, despite her antics, she is (was) a well respected actress, often referred to as one of the best of her generation..

Would you have her on Broadway?

Owen i think the best of her generation is a bit OTT

She was great in The Parent Trap and Mean Girls, her others were kinda naff. If you watch her acting today she is totally awkward. I enjoyed The Canyons more than most but she was not great, ok at best. On top of that her track record and time keeping is appalling, even recently on her docu series. No way would she fit in to such a scheduled routine like a show.

She was a pretty good child star who has not been able to transition to adult star (wait that sounded like i meant porn)

Namo i love u but we get it already....you don't like Madonna

I didn't say she should do Broadway (or shouldn't), I'm just cuing you in that here in the States, the girl had the respect of her peers (find articles online from Meryl Streep and Jane Fonda who go on about her talent). It's why so many refuse to give up on her. She isn't Tara Reed, she was a strong intuitive actress, and yes, had the possibility of being the best of that generation. Easily.

And then she turned 18 and poof. The clock struck midnight. Can you imagine the cost of the insurance policy they would have to take on her.

Lindsay Lohan on the West End

There are many reasons why she's called "Lindsay La Loca" here in the U.S. Those producers who made this fateful decision will rue the day they cast that trainwreck in this play.

"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)

Karen in S-T-P is a really tricky role to pull off. I really hope she's good and, er, present....

Who calls her La Loca? I really don't think that's a thing.

La Loca= crazy female. It's just one nickname that has been attached to her.

Yeah, I'm definitely not going to fly to the UK to see /that/ happen. I think this is going to be horrible, but who knows, maybe I will be surprised and it won't be that bad...

Oh dear

The West End board stoops to a new low, with silly, unfunny and childish, video clips and I thought this was just the preserve of the Broadway board.

A true new low.

Madonna didn't bring anything to the role when she played, and I think that Lindsay will bring even less...

Since there is only one video/gif , I guess you are referring to me Phantom. I actually think it's funny. Dare I say that a new "low" was achieved when some enterprising individual decided to hire someone (Lohan) with such a dodgy work ethic and a horrendous reputation. The producers could have selected a professionally trained and experienced theatre actress, but instead decided to take a risk on Lohan. Good luck with that.

And already there's 'trouble at 'mill'. Will she make opening night? Place your bets.. Though could all be muck raking on behalf of the press
