I find it strange that Santino was left off the list since Act One only got one nod for Shaloub. They also went with Brian J. Smith for Glass Menagerie over Celia.

Seven new Broadway musicals nominated and still no If/Then. It's the ONLY major player not nominated, which I find curious.

I know that with 50 nominees, it's easy to list a lot of good work, but I'm still thrilled with Birney, Ebert, Cerveris, and Lucas's nominations. Also delighted that Lena Hall got in for Hedwig and that Margot Seibert is recognized for her excellent work in Rocky!

I noticed that too Sauja. All of the new musicals in the conversation were nominated except If/Then. That can't feel too good. Ditto for Act One with regards to the new plays.

Also, curious that they went with Tracy Letts over Toni Collette.

neonlights, they only recognize two performances per show. Jones is out because she already won this once, so it came down to two spots for three performers. All of the actors were outstanding, but I don't disagree with the choice of Smith getting in ahead of her. That said, I don't think it's a snub.

For the performance award, I have a feeling it will come down to Bryan Cranston, Neil Patrick Harris, and Jefferson Mays (though I would LOVE to see Kelli O'Hara sneak out this win).

I would've picked Celia over Brian J. Smith.

I also am thrilled for Michael Cerveris and Sydney Lucas, as well as Taylor Mac (whose performance in Good Person was quite impressive).

I hesitate to predict the acting award. (Could this be the year of the tie? There have been ties before.)

Ok, since someone else made a prediction, so will I:

I also think it is interesting that they went with Bullets over Broadway instead of If/Then. The former of which received reviews that were all over they place and was the only new Musical to open in the Spring get several outright pans as opposed to If/Then which opened to extremely mixed reviews.

Yah, I wasn't the biggest Twelfth Night fan, but even I am shocked that Stephen Fry or Sam Barnett weren't given spots over people like Zach Braff.

Does anyone know if Sydney Lucas is the youngest person ever nominated for the Drama League Award? Her work in Fun Home was incredible, but for some reason it's funny to me to see her name on this list.

The Billys weren't nominated, were they? (I can only find lists of winners from years past-there doesn't appear to be anything even in ibdb.com about Drama League nods or awards.) I thought she might get a special citation. (Typically the Drama League is for a performance that defines a career-a lifetime achievement if you will.)

To the person who asked about picking one winner-there have been a couple of ties. This appears to be one year where that could happen.

I always think of the Drama League Performance Award, with is atypical format, to be the highest acting honor in NY theatre. I think it's wonderful that they step aside from the typical award qualifications and forged their own prestigious honor.

(I don't think Lucas will win, but it's always an interesting race when some of the big names aren't in contention, like this year.)

The only other child actors I thought of were Daisy Eagan in "The Secret Garden" and the Matildas last year.

I don't think she'll win either, but it's amazing she got the nomination. I'm very happy for her. She deserved it.

I do think Patrick Stewart may take it-he's a respected veteran who's never won. (His co-star has.) Other actors I think may win: Sutton Foster, Bryan Cranston, and Neil Patrick Harris.

Glad Mary Bridget Davis is on the list.
I think with Sutton's warm reception Mary will be off the TONY list, but my fingers are crossed, stranger things have happened.

I agree with Braff and Cordero, I like them best of all the performers. All those women's parts and they really don't get a chance to shine.

And no nods for the 12th night boys? C'mon!
