According to rumours and good sources, Bill Kenwright is planning to bring in Fame (Garrick, possibly Scotsboro boys out!) Evita (Apollo) and then depending if I Can't Sing! holds through the Summer, Scrooge will revisit The Palladium (yawn I must say) but if iI Can't Sing is out early, Starlight could swing in prior (or do a 6 month run if it does well). Starlight may end up at The Phoenix also if Once buckles before ICS but if Palladium is a goer, Sound of Music may go to Phoenix...

Either way it looks like he has every chance of having 5 musicals come into town this year.... Busy!

The Sound of Music deserves a transfer but not the rest, surprising Nimax can't find any plays that could fill the Garrick and Apollo rather than resort to touring musicals.

The west end is extremely play heavy currently.

There is a very small pool of well known musicals, I don't blame them for brining in these shows... They've done very well on tour (Fame not sure about yet)

Starlight and Evita I think will do well

Madness to bring Scrooge in again, are they hoping to sell tickets this time, which they failed to do 2 years ago?

Fame I have never seen, be interested in seeing this, but could easily see this at a local theatre. Does the West End really need a cheap bus and truck tour in the West End?

Same with Starlight Express, if you have seen the original, which I have, anything else is going to be inferior.

Evita, why would this sell, when the last revival 5 years ago didn't?

The Sound of a Music after seeing this at the Palladium I thought I was done with this musical, how wrong I was, the open air version is stunning, this should fill the Palladium for a limited run.

Any news on how the Commitments is doing?

I wish they'd retire Scrooge, I would rather see White Christmas or Elf do a Christmas run at the Palladium.

The Sound of Music I think would be lost at the Palladium, it would be better suited at the Phoenix even though it would mean Once closing.

Will be interesting what the rest of the year has in store for the West End aside from the shows already confirmed like Shakespeare in Love, Miss Saigon, Made in Dagenham etc I wouldn't be surprised if King Charles III transfers from the Almeida if there is a theatre available

I would love it if he brings in Starlight Express. I would really love to get an updated cast recording. It's been years and the show has changed so much.

i need Evita to come in before the 1st July, slim chance.

Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist. Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino. This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more. Tazber's: Reply to Is Stephen Schwartz a Practicing Christian

King Charles III may wait a bit, as Tim Pigott-Smith is in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf in Bath this Summer.

Kenwright said late last year he wanted to bring Foxfinder by Dawn King to the West End this year. Any news on that?

Why would Evita sell this time around? Marti Pellow (and smaller theatre and production)

Fame isn't doing that well on tour so surprised thats coming in

Scrooge would need a big name to sell. I like the show but it didn't sell last time
