Did anyone see GOOD PEOPLE when it was on at the Hampstead Theatre? Is it worth going to see upon its transfer to the Noel Coward? I'm not normally someone who goes to plays (I'm a musicals man), but Imelda Staunton's involvement has peaked my interest. As most of you know, I LOVED her in SWEENEY and I have been a fan of hers ever since. Also, anyone know if they are doing dayseats for this? Can't seem to find any information about them.

I saw this at Hampstead and it's a cracking 5 star play, it goes without saying that Imedia Staunton was fabulous, but also have to give Lloyd Owen credit too, this is a breakout role for him, after having the straight jacket of the Bodyguard lifted from him.

I've seen the play in New York and Chicago and just saw tonight at the Hampstead Easily as good as the two American productions na mil dot and the rest of the cast are equal to any I've seen.

Answering my own question, but it looks like Dayseats will be available from the Noel Coward at 10am on the morning of the performance for £10. Strikes me as an absolute bargain! How busy though do you think the Dayseat queue will be? How big of a draw is Imelda to the general public? Anyone planning on going tomorrow and able to report back?

I'm going this Friday and am really excited to see Imelda Staunton on stage, I've only ever seen her in films. I think she'll be a draw for the public as the show goes on.

Is Staunton not a bit old for this role? Yeesh... Bit too matronly.

No, or you could argue is Lloyd Owen too young for the role?

I went on Friday and thought it was completely incredible, Staunton suits the role perfectly. She adds a layer of vulnerability to Margie. I particularly loved it because not many members of the audience seemed to be familiar with the plot, so were gasping along with the twists. It's quite rare to be in an auditorium when it feels so alive. Definitely go and see it if you can because it's not on for long!
