"The as-yet-untitled solo musical depicts a single day in the life of a woman as she recalls her past and looks back at her various experiences, obstensibly contemplating "the meaning of existence" all the while."
No disrespect to the legendary performer- but even she's willing to admit that she can barely make it through her concert shows. I don't see how she can do this...
"I never had theatre producers run after me. Some people want to make more Broadway shows out of movies. But Elliot and I aren't going to do Batman: The Musical." - Julie Taymor 1999
"No offense to Ms. Minnelli or any of her fans, but I think this is just a waste of theater space. I find her singing voice to be extremely irratating."
Some things you should just keep to yourself. If you don't like it, just don't go.

“I hesitate to give this line of discussion the validation it so desperately craves by perpetuating it, but the light from logic is getting further and further away with your every successive post.” <<>>

Theatrediva - Why should I keep my opinion to myself? This is a board where we can discuss our opinions, whether negative or positive. I am not hating on Liza, I simply expressed my disinterest in her work.
What was the point of putting that in a thread where you knew people would get excited about the possibility of her doing a show? To show that you were "cooler than us" with your "anti Liza' attitude?
And Diva was expressing his opinion of you the same way you chose to do so by your very own logic, why should he keep his opinion of you to himself?
Well, I'm a bit conflicted. On the one hand, it would be fabulous to see her in a Broadway show. She still has a lot to offer. If that does happen, perhaps she should focus on songs that don't require belting. When I saw her in concert in 2010, her "NY NY" was sort of excruciating. She was fine with the other songs, but not so much with her attempts at belting. I also wonder if she's healthy enough to undertake a strenuous Broadway run. She does seem to be prone to illness. "Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)
