I thought I'd seen on twitter that GCB has been renewed

We must have different Gods. My God said "do to others what you would have them do to you". Your God seems to have said "My Way or the Highway".
Not a fan of Happy Endings. It's just Cougar Town for 30-somethings, but with a less interesting cast. Quite possibly the most unlikable gay character I've seen on TV. I'm sort of shocked the show is still running as I hadn't heard about it until last summer, I think.
Haven't watched Scandal yet, but I have it on the DVR. Stopped watching Once Upon a Time around episode 5. Thought Revenge was floundering, but I'm back into it again. I just cringe when I watch Madeleine Stowe try and act around all that botox. Every time she blinks, you think something's going to fall off her face. Love GCB and Suburgatory. Carly Chaikin deserves an Emmy nomination. I could watch her play Dalia all day.

We're gonna have to disagree--Happy Ending doesn't try to be both clever and "touchy feely" the way Cougar Town does and is always, to me, a pleasant surprise.
I gave Scandal two episodes and hated it.... (God I sound cynical in this post)
I do like Cougartown but given the way ABC treated it, I was not surprised but I am thrilled it made the move to TBS.
HE got a lot better. Elisha Cuthbert actually has become of the better characters on the show which still surprises me especially when she is in a cast with Damon Wayans Jr., Casey Wilson, and Eliza Coupe. The actor who plays Dave still feels like an dragging anchor to the show though.
For me, the "touchy feely" aspect of Cougar Town (which is a very light touch) balances it out with some implied maturity among some of the characters. Happy Endings just sort of rubs me the wrong way. It probably starts with the fact that they are all friends with the gay guy who seems completely...unfriendable.

I admit he is pretty reprehensible--and my enjoyment in having a non typical gay character was lost after three episodes. I just find Cougar Town more and more smug, I guess for lack of a better term. When they make a joke it's "look at how clever we are!", when Happy Endings does it's more "OK that may have not worked, but we'll move on"
