Hello all. I have been a lurker of the Broadway board for years now, but I figured I would try the Chicago one to see if I could find any help. A group of theatre majors/theatre fans will be going to Chicago the first weekend in February. Are there any shows that you would recommend taking a look at?
I've tried to do some research, especially looking at Steppenwolf and the Goodman, but everything seems to be mixed. We have enough time to see 2 or 3 shows, so I want to make sure they are high quality. Plays or musicals welcomed, and we curse like sailors, so any topic is acceptable.
I haven't seen these yet, but there are some shows that I've been quite interested in:
A Chorus Line at Paramount in Aurora Race at the Goodman Gypsy at Drury Lane A Midsummer Night's Dream at Chicago Shakespeare
Paramount and Drury Lane might be a bit difficult to get to if you're staying in the city. Race just got a rave from the Tribune, so that would be my first recommendation.
