You're the best, forum! Wanted to see the show, as I will be all by myself in LA and was looking for things to keep me busy. Kept meaning to get to the show here, but it never happened. Now I have my ticket and with a discount! So excited!
Well i saw BUYER & CELLAR yesterday at the Mark Taper Forum...i had third row seats on stage right...I LOVED IT!...while there was a lot of blue-hairs in the matinee audience there was also a lot of BABS fans and Jewish gay men as well...me included there...i laughed and i think got most every BABS reference and loved every thing Michael did...i knew i would enjoy him being an UGLY BETTY fan but he was awesome on stage never letting go for 100 minutes...insightful even if only fiction...at the beginning i was laughing so loud a couple of the really older audience members turned around to ask me to not be so loud as they were having trouble listening...lol...nothing stopped me from enjoying the show...BRAVO!...even if you are not Gay, Jewish or even a BABS fan this is wonderful theatre
for me i bought my tickets only a week in advance and went right to the theatre ticket site on line...yes i paid full price $75.00 but the location was amazing...Michael looked my way when he heard my laughter...that's how close i was...:)
Saw it on my trip last week and it was hysterical! The crowd was definitely older (I'm 30, but the median age was 60. The woman I sat next to was probably around 75). Michael Urie was fantastic; I'm so glad I went. Thanks to all of you, I got a Hot Tix for $25 and was sitting in the 7th row (granted, I was all the way at the end of the aisle, but for that price?!). If you're in LA, go!
