I would say RENT as well because it tried to jump on the "can't make it on Broadway so try off-Broadway" bandwagon. It was a little differently because it didn't move immediately from On to Off. But the failure of that revival proved that we will need to wait until Rent becomes a truly nostalgic 90's piece. For now, the memories of the original production are still too strong and recent.

Funny, Doyle's company was the first production of that I got . . . and the only Doyle-ified production I think worked successfully.

Jekyll & Hyde and Jesus Christ Superstar (mainly because it's so overdone that no one will go to see a revival within the next twenty years).
