going in a few weeks. Can't wait. Loved it before, hope I continue to love it.

For those who are wondering what made Natasha Richardson's performance in CABARET so electric, this article articulates it pretty wonderfully.

I noticed someone said they were rushing this on Friday. Has a rush been announced yet?

It's a $32 general rush. I'm pretty sure Roundabout offers $32 general rush for most of their shows.

Did they have an invited dress?

was a closed rehearsal, but my friend was there (house staff) and said it was PHENOMENAL and that Williams was stunning.

Stopped by the box office to ask about a rush policy. It's going to be far side mezzanine rows JJ-MM, whatever is left, they're NOT holding seats for rush. $47. The girl in the box office said they won't have the rush tickets frequently, and they definitely won't have them for the first few weeks.

So excited about seeing it tonight!

Listening to the OBR for the first time right now on spotify...is it blasphemous to say I really don't care for Jill Haworth's as Sally? That said...Lotte Lenya is absolutely sublime!

Accidental or not, I love "Sally" as a verb.

Michael Bennett...that article! Not only does it describe the performance so perfectly, but I didn't realize it was the 5th anniversary of Ms. Richardson's death this past week. Oooof.

There were nothing but crappy seats available online for the next month, so on a whim I just went by the box office and was lucky enough to get two orchestra seats for tonight that had just opened up. So excited!

Play Esq--

The original NYT review didn't care for her either. Thought the show was brilliant but savaged the lead actress. I don't know if her career ever recovered from it. I like her just fine on the recording, but that could be more a testament to the brilliance of Kander & Ebb than anything else.

I don't fly to town until three weeks from today, but it's the first thing I'm doing when I arrive. In the meanwhile, love it for me, y'all. Love it so much. I can't wait to talk about it with all of you. It's strange to think about how long I thought this day would never come.

A lot has been written about Jill Hayworth's performance as Sally. Apparently she was an extraordinarily inconsistent performer that could be brilliant or completely inept depending on the performance.

One of the creative team, I don't remember too, said that it took Judi Dench in London to really give them an opportunity to properly evaluate the character in relationship to the entire musical.

Saw the original revival with Cumming so putting this in my list of shows we have seen. Same show only some different actors. Natasha Richardson as Sally will be as how I remember it. Saw the original and do not remember if I saw Haworth on an off night or not. Grey was always on.

Roxy, it's Alan Cumming, no "s" in there. I'm very jealous of anyone who saw the first revival of this, I heard it was just extraordinary. Excited to hear some reviews.

Is anyone familiar with the rear and side orchestra "bar rail" seats that they are selling? I get that they are partial view, but how bad are they? Still worth getting or should I just wait for better seats to become available? Thanks!

Does roundabouts show ever go on TKTS? Possibly dumb question.

So, to JudasIscariot, do you think that Michelle Willaims can steal Best Leading Actress under Kelli's, Idina's, Sutton's, and Jessica's noses?

"Does roundabouts show ever go on TKTS? Possibly dumb question."

They do- and fairly often, in the case of plays like Machinal. But I just don't see this one appearing very much, if at all. It's a very hot ticket and tickets are scarce for the first several months.
