Award-winning performance artist Miwa Matreyek returns to Theatre Project with "This World Made Itself"; a multi-media live performance piece combining projected animation and the artist's own shadow on a screen, as she becomes part of and interacts with the fantastical world of the video. The piece merges film and theater to create something that is its own multi-media spectacle. It is a visually-rich journey through the history of the earth, from the universe's epic beginnings to our current, complex world of humans. In addition to "This World Made Itself", there will also be performances of a new work by local mixed-media artist Lynn Tomlinson. "Medusa: The Immortal Jellyfish" is a live visual theater performance that blends animation, ceramic sculpture, underwater plastic-bottle puppets, live video feeds, and multiple projections to create an immersive world from the perspective of a swarm of jellyfish.

Presented as part of QuestFest 2014.
