Maryland's oldest running summer theatre, Cockpit in Court, in residence at CCBC Essex, opens the second half of its 2014 season with "Annie, Jr." July 11-20, Tickets can be purchased in advance or from the CCBC Box Office (T-F 9-3) at 443-840-2787 (ARTS) or online at https://www.ccbcmd.edu/cockpit/shows.html. Performed by the Court Jesters Young People's Theatre, this delightful musical is based on the popular comic strip heroine "Little Orphan Annie" with book by Thomas Meehan, music by Charles Strouse and lyrics by Martin Charnin. Allison Naglieri of Carney, Md. is Annie and Max Wolf of Baltimore, Md. plays Daddy Warbucks. Other featured players include: Natalie Dixon of Annapolis, Md. as Kate, Emily Ricci as Pepper and Rachel Miller of Baltimore, Md. as Lily St. Regis, Kelsey Feeney of Bel Air, Md. as Miss Hannigan, Rhiannon Owen of Nottingham, Md. as Grace, Brooke Marriott as Molly and Brendon Morrison of Perry Hall, Md. as Rooster, Grace Glennon as Duffy and Maia Vong of Towson, Md. as Tessie and Susanna Hoffman of Woodbine, Md. as July. Other roles include: Mathew Trulli (FDR) of Abingdon, Md., Jules Einhorn (Bert Healy) and Sarah Moscoso (Star to be) of Baltimore, Md. and Kevin Franiak (Drake) of Nottingham, Md.

Cockpit in Court Summer Theatre's season will continue with "Legally Blonde" on the Mainstage (July 18-August 3) and "The Tale of the Allergist's Wife" in the cabaret theatre (July 19-August 3.).
