The Children's Playhouse of Maryland, Inc. (CPM), in residence at CCBC Essex, Elf, Jr. The Musical, the weekends of Dec. 3-4, 10-11, and 17-18 at 1 p.m., with additional shows at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4 and 18, and 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10. The Sunday, Dec. 11 show at 1p.m. will be American Sign Language interpreted by students of CCBC Catonsville Interpreter Preparation Certification Program. A special Sensory Friendly performance is set for December 11 at 4:30 p.m. Show tickets are $10 each. Tickets will be sold at the door only as space permits. Call the Box Office for specially priced tickets not available online. Seniors, CCBC Community, and Groups of 8 or more are $8 each. CPM Actorlist Tickets are $5.

"Buddy sneaks into Santa's Bag and ends up at the North Pole, where he is raised as an elf. Despite his enormous size, he does not realize he is human. Eventually, the fact that he cannot make toys, forces him to face the truth. The story of Buddy's journey to New York City to find his true identity is full of twists, turns, and laughs. This modern holiday classic
with music by Matthew Sklar, lyrics by Chad Begueline and book by Bob Martin and Thomas Meehan features a host of songs and energetic dance numbers to help the whole family discover its inner 'elf.'"

This CPM holiday production features 46 student actors from Baltimore City, Baltimore County and Harford County.

Nathan Beyer of Fallston, Md. is Buddy, the Elf and Matthew Trulli of Abingdon, Md. appears as Santa Claus. Connor Moore of Towson, Md. and Kathryn Schudel of Towson, Md., are featured as Walter Hobbs and Emily Hobbs. Sammy Jungwirth of Nottingham, Md. portrays Michael Hobbs. Ana Lane of Baltimore, Md., is featured as Jovie.

Other actors in this cast are: Ava Correlli, Jared Davis, Emily Davis, Jacqueline Hicks, Ethan Holler, Gwen Lowell, Addison Malkowski, Elliott Whitman of Baltimore, Md., Olivia Winter of Cockeysville, Md., Ryann Reich of Edgewood, Md., Mara Jade Beaumiere of Essex, Md., Colleen Beyer and Tommy Beyer of Fallston, Md., Brenna Barrett of Forest Hill, Md., Maura Bohn, Matthew Byrd and Zachary Byrd of Halethorpe, Md., Daniela Alvarez, Sofia Alvarez and Molly Foggo of Lutherville, Md., Hayleigh Smith and Melody Blahut of Middle River, Md., Addison Barry, Emily Ricci and Mason Petr of Nottingham, Md., Bella Comotto, Colton Richards, Gracie Richards and Ian Smith of Parkville, Md., Claire Schafer and Dylan Morrison of Perry Hall, Md., Amy Claudio,Delanie Blankenship and Shine Peters of Rosedale, Md., Grace Kelly of Sparrows Point, Md., Grace Glennon, Rose Glennon, Royce Hartin and Maia Vong of Towson, Md., and Shameer Mirza of White Marsh, Md., Liz Boyer Hunnicutt directs this production, with musical direction by Charlotte Evans and choreography by Amanda Dickson.

BRUNCH WITH SANTA AND "Elf, Jr. The Musical":

A special Brunch with Santa and the show (Elf, Jr. The Musical) will be held on Dec. 17 [SOLD OUT] and Dec. 18 starting at 11:30 am. Tickets for the Brunch with Santa on Dec. 18 are limited but currently available. These tickets are $17 and include the cost of both the Brunch and the 1 p.m. performance of Elf, Jr. The Musical.

Tickets to all of these events can be purchased in advance by calling the CCBC Box Office, 443-840-ARTS (2787) Tuesday - Friday from 9 am to 3 p.m., or online at www.cp.m.arts.org. Advanced purchase is required for Brunch with Santa and highly recommended for all show dates of Elf, Jr. The Musical. Tickets will be sold at the door only as space permits.
