We've had the great fortune to interview everyone from Laura Benanti (twice!!!) to LaChanze to Laura Osnes to Lin-Manuel--And a whole bunch of other people without Ls in their names! Our hope is that you'll give us 45 to 50 minutes of your time and in exchange we'll give you a fun and informative interview packed full of music and laughs (and the occasional heartfelt and inspiring tear--I'm looking at you Keala Settle!).

Benanti also discusses her television work including the hugely popular SOUND OF MUSIC LIVE!, NASHVILLE, and the upcoming SUPERGIRL. Mendez, who is well known for having taken on the role of Elphaba in the Broadway mega-hit WICKED for the show's 10th anniversary, made her Broadway debut as Jan in the 2007 Kathleen Marshall helmed GREASE. She was seen on Broadway in the 2010 Roundabout Theater production of EVERYDAY RAPTURE, as well as the 2011 Broadway revival of GODSPELL before being hand picked by famed director Joe Mantello to star in the off-Broadway Pasek and Paul musical DOGFIGHT at Second Stage. She also memorably appeared alongside Lin-Manuel Miranda in Miranda's short musical 21 CHUMP STREET which was commissioned by the NPR show 'This American Life' and performed at BAM.

I first met the Genius Lin-Manuel Miranda (I will never stop calling him that) back in 2003 when I was trying to get some traction as a freelance writer. My friend Tommy Kail asked me if I wanted to interview a young writer/composer he was working with on a new hip hop musical called IN THE HEIGHTS. It was just a one-act being workshopped in the basement theater of the Drama Bookshop, but the show's main character was gay (obviously a lot has changed over the years) and he thought that would interest me. It did, so we set up an interview.
